Tainted

On the first of May 2024, Ilse DeLange released her latest album 'Tainted', and as with previous releases, Rens Dekker took the creative helm for the artwork of this album. The boundless creative freedom that was offered to him resulted in an abundance of design proposals.

Inspired by this richness of visual interpretations, Ilse came up with the idea to exhibit these artworks during the press release party at The National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) in Amsterdam.

The artworks can be seen as a personal visual interpretation of the songs and the overarching theme of the album, which distinguishes them more as free work than as strictly commissioned work.

By exhibiting these artworks, Rens and Ilse not only offer a glimpse into the creative process behind 'Tainted' but also enrich the listening experience with visual dimensions that resonate with themes such as damaged trust, the courage to believe again, the fear of being vulnerable, and the daring to enter new territory.

All works are available in a limited edition of 75 hand signed museum quality giclée prints.
